IMFACO NV values the protection of your personal data. In this privacy policy we explain which data we collect when you visit our website imfaco.com or contact us, why we do so, how long we keep it and what rights you have. Last updated: 12 October 2026.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
IMFACO NV, Kachtemsestraat 111, 8870 Izegem, Belgium (VAT number BE0441.982.874), is responsible for processing your personal data. You can reach us at office@imfaco.com or on +32 (0)51 30 13 65.
2. Which data do we process and why?
Request and contact form. When you submit a request, we process your first and last name, job title, company, email address, telephone number, optionally your VAT number, your message and the details of your request (such as the type of project and where your visit came from). We use these data to answer your request, prepare a proposal or quotation and follow up the business relationship. You receive a confirmation by email. To prevent misuse and spam, with a request we also store a daily-changing, irreversible hash of your IP address and your browser details; we do not store your IP address itself.
Newsletter. We only send you news and offers from IMFACO if you expressly opt in when submitting your request. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Visitor measurement. We measure the use of our website with our own, self-hosted visitor measurement. Without your consent this is done without cookies and in a way that cannot be traced back to a person: your IP address is not stored, only a daily-changing, irreversible hash and data such as country, city and network. With your consent we place one cookie to recognise returning visitors (see our cookie policy). Based on a visitor’s network we can infer which organisation a visit belongs to; private internet connections are never shown as an organisation. Visitors who have “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” enabled never receive a cookie and are not identified as an organisation.
3. On what legal basis?
- Your consent, for example for the newsletter and for placing the visitor-measurement cookie.
- Taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, when you submit a request or ask for a quotation.
- Our legitimate interest: answering and following up business contacts, protecting the website against misuse, and measuring and improving the use of the website.
- A legal obligation, for example for our accounting.
4. How long do we keep your data?
We keep the data from a request for as long as is needed to follow up your request and the business relationship; after that we delete or anonymise them, unless a legal retention obligation requires a longer period. Visitor-measurement data are kept for a maximum of 13 months; after that only anonymous totals remain.
5. Who do we share your data with?
We never sell your data. We work with carefully selected service providers who process data on our behalf, such as our hosting provider (Contabo) and the service we use to send emails (Resend). We conclude a data processing agreement or equivalent arrangements with them. Data are only passed to public authorities when the law requires us to. If a service provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we ensure appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and erase your data, the right to restrict or object to processing, the right to data portability and the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Send your request to office@imfaco.com; we will reply within one month. We may first ask you to confirm your identity.
7. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including a secure (https) connection and restricted access to the website’s administration.
8. Making a complaint
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, please contact us first. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels (www.dataprotectionauthority.be).
9. Changes
We may update this privacy policy, for example when the website or legislation changes. The most recent version is always on this page, with the date of the last update at the top.
