Savings programmes
What is a savings programme and how does it work?
A savings programme is a temporary retail promotion in which customers collect savings stamps or points when they make a purchase and can redeem these for premium products at a heavily reduced price, up to 65% below the retail price.
IMFACO organises the entire programme: concept, collection, savings cards, logistics and redemption period.
How long does a savings programme last?
A savings programme typically runs for 4, 5 or 6 weeks of saving, followed by 1 week of redemption. Campaigns start on Thursday and end on Wednesday.
Can IMFACO plan several savings programmes in succession?
Yes. IMFACO plans several consecutive, non-overlapping savings programmes, aligned with the season and target audience. For supermarkets such as Delhaize and Spar, we offer the savings programmes to each store separately: each store is free to draw up its own schedule and to choose which savings programmes it runs, for how long and when.
Which collections are available for a savings programme?
IMFACO has a growing portfolio of proven collections, including Friends of the Ocean, La Vie en Plage, Wout Bru cookware, acacia wood, kitchen textiles, crystal glasses, throws and SiSi Maison scented candles. A completely new bespoke concept is also possible.
What happens after the saving period?
After the saving period comes a redemption week, in which customers redeem their full savings card in store. IMFACO takes care of the follow-up and evaluates the results together with the retailer.
Loyalty programmes
What is the difference between a savings programme and a loyalty programme?
A savings programme is a temporary in-store consumer promotion. A loyalty programme is an ongoing or project-based B2B mechanism — for example for employees, subscribers or professional customers — often without a direct in-store purchase as the trigger.
Which loyalty programme formulas does IMFACO offer?
Three formulas: a points programme (as with Knorr), an incentive or performance reward (as with BOEMM!) and a welcome or subscription gift (as with Roularta).
Why does cookware work so well as an incentive?
Cookware has a high perceived value, is used daily and remains visible in the home — unlike a cash bonus that is quickly forgotten. The association with Michelin-starred chef Wout Bru reinforces that effect further.
Who are IMFACO’s loyalty programmes suitable for?
For FMCG brands and their agencies, publishers and media, HR and sales teams who want to reward employees or customers, and any company looking for a tangible incentive with impact.
Can a tailor-made loyalty programme be developed?
Yes, every programme is tailored to the target group, the budget per participant and the desired mechanism — from simple gifts to extensive points programmes.
Foodservice
Which product certificates are available for foodservice products?
Depending on the item: EU 1935/2004, LFGB, REACH, FDA and FSC. Certificates are available per item on request.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for satay skewers?
Standard products such as bamboo satay skewers are available from one box of 10,000 pieces; larger volumes and personalised items have a separate MOQ on request.
Is personalisation of foodservice products possible?
Yes — marinade brushes, among other items, can be fitted with your own logo or print from a minimum volume.
What does PPWR mean for food packaging suppliers?
PPWR (EU 2025/40) is the new European packaging regulation, which from 2026 sets stricter requirements for recyclability and documentation. IMFACO keeps the packaging documentation of its foodservice products in order, in accordance with this regulation.
Does IMFACO supply directly to butchers and caterers?
IMFACO supplies wholesalers and food companies and, depending on volume, also supplies butchers, caterers and hospitality businesses directly.
