This cookie policy explains which cookies and similar technologies imfaco.com uses and how you can change your choice. Last updated: 12 October 2026.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device. Cookies may be necessary for a website to work or may be used to measure how it is used.
2. What do we use?
- We do not place any cookies without your consent. We store your choice (accept or decline) in your browser’s local storage (key “imfaco-cookie-consent”). That is not a cookie and does not follow you around.
- With your consent (the “Accept” button in the cookie banner) we place one cookie: “imf_v”. It is a first-party cookie with a random ID, readable only by our server (HttpOnly), with a lifetime of 13 months. We use it to recognise returning visitors and their first and last source across several visits, so that we can improve our website.
- We do not use advertising cookies, social media cookies or third-party cookies.
3. Measuring without a cookie
Even without a cookie we measure the use of our website, anonymously and with our own self-hosted visitor measurement. We do not store your IP address: we only use an irreversible hash that can no longer be used after one day, and data such as country, city, network, device, browser and language. Visitors with “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” never receive a cookie. You will find more explanation in our privacy policy.
4. Changing or withdrawing your choice
Through “Cookie settings” in the website footer you can change your choice at any time. If you withdraw your consent, we delete the cookie on your next visit. You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings.
5. Questions?
